New Years provide a unique opportunity to look back and look forward at the same time.  But how should a follower of Jesus approach the New Year?  We look forward with Hope because the Best is yet to Come!!

Simeon's song is a song of hope.  A song of God coming through on what he has promised to do.  Too often Christmas is a time which is not filled with hope.  So often we struggle this season with feelings of hopelessness.  You think things will never change or improve.  Never forget the baby of Bethlehem is Lord of all and walked out of the grave.  Christmas is the birthday of Hope!!

Christmas seems filled with these people we call Angels.  Famous Christmas movie lines are about angels.  And it was the Angels who had an interesting message to relay.  Christmas is about peace.  Today, we learn about that peace and how important it is.

What happens when God is silent?  Most of us believe  God is absent or distant, but what if that wasn't true.  What if God was working his plan all along, even in the silence?  Listen to part 2 of our series and the song of Zechariah.

Following Jesus makes your life better and makes you better at life.  Our problem is we have our own ideas of what will make our life better.  Will we trust ourselves or Jesus?  Pastor Ed helps us understand how life is better following Jesus.
