Often we overlook common sense or even discard normal material skills and helpful knowledge in order to help us out of challenges and struggles in our spiritual life. If my car is broken we don't say, everything is in scripture, no, we go to a car mechanic and he's very expert, better than most devotees at fixing the car. Let's bring some common sense back and it can really help some of us become more stable and fixed up as we move towards transcendence

To truly be a person and to live every aspect of being a person or a spiritual being is that we must dream. Do not use the propensity to dream is to deny part of our personhood. Somehow we can stop dreaming in the name of spiritual advancement thinking it is advancement. But the power of the dream is what makes magic happen.

Living with the mind also means living with another person so to speak. That means you have two voices. Your own and the voice in the head. What is your say when you don't succeed or get what do you want? Many devote have very negative self talk and this needs to be addressed if someone wants to be happy and Krishna consciousness.

There is a myth that if I can rise above pressure or stress I can perform better. Actually pressure is our arena even in the spiritual game. By changing our thinking we can change our level of performance. The most famous team in sports historically have been successful due to embracing pressure as their arena. If we do the same in bhakti we will also increase our performance. In fact love itself has pressure inherent within it. So forget about being stressfree or trying to escape or run from pressure..That will not help you

This podcast introduces and dispels the myth that life is about balance. " I must live a balanced life", we say. If you want to be successful you actually have to be okay of having a life out of balance, and learn the art of counterbalancing the less important areas of your life. People are highly successful know that in order to focus on priorities one has to accept being out of balance.

Often we have the idea or belief that we have to be hyper disciplined in order to maintain our spiritual practices. Actually this is not totally true. You just have to be disciplined enough to develop a habit. Yes once a habit is formed, it doesn't take as much discipline anymore or as much effort. Having the belief that I have to be a disciplined person can often work against you and demotivate you to have great spiritual practices and habits

In order to handle your responsibilities material and spiritual, although we will have the same time 24 hours in the day, the secret is to increase your competency and capacity. This is the way to get unstuck and to thrive in bhakti. Don't use Krishna consciousness to stay incompetent and have low-level energy in capacity. Don't use humility to keep you stuck.

Forging and building emotional resilience is key and a foundation to any kind of success. Using our emotions as the compass in our life is a sure way disaster. Your days must be ruled by your mission not your mood.
