We are encouraged by these verse, Jesus Christ overcame death and He reigns. That is the Gospel. We may be imprisoned because we speak it, but it will never be stopped.

We need to think about, consider and understand what we hear from those who teach us the Word. Then the Lord will give us the ability to put it all together and understand what is going on in every situation.

A farmer works hard for one reason, the harvest. As believers we work hard know that we will share in the harvest. Keep your eyes on the harvest.

In order for a athlete to receive a prize they need to prepare and compete according to the rules. We as believers must do the same. The prize is there if we compete according to the rules.

In order for us to do what God has asked us to do we must first of all not be entangled with the things of everyday life. We trust God to care for us.

A Christian should never suffer alone. As soldiers we stand together in our sufferings or persecution.

We need to listen to what we have been taught and then teach it to faithful people and they will teach it to someone else.

In order to stand strong when others are denying their faith we need to have an understanding of the grace of God. The grace of God will make us strong.

There are two types of people. One kind is those who leave their fellow believers when the pressure of persecution comes. The other type comes to their aid even if it means losing their life.

With the help of the Holy Spirit we guard the treasure that God has entrusted to us. This treasure is the call of God on our lives.
