Retaining the outline or sketch of healthy teaching is needed in the church today. We seize it by faith and love that Jesus provides for us.

Being ashamed will destroy your testimony. Paul overcame the most dehumanizing condition by putting his faith in Jesus.

Jesus has already appeared to us. He completely made death useless and has brought us life and immortality. We can continue in our ministries because of that.

We can stand unashamed in persecution because we have salvation, past, present and future and because God continues to call us and lead us. His salvation and calling are with purpose and grace.

This is a powerful message for the times we are in. We do not need to be ashamed of testimony about Jesus. We need to suffer with the power of God working in us.

Is fear putting out the fiery gift that is in you. God has given you His Spirit to combat fear. It is the Spirit of power, of love and of making disciplined decisions.

Timothy had a fiery living gift on the inside of him. Paul is telling Timothy to bring that fire up or increase it. What gift has God given you to use? Does it need to be increased or brought up to a flame?

Paul tells us what will bring complete joy to those who long for us in the faith. It is a sincere, unhypocritical faith. The faith of timothy started with His grand mother and his mother. Faith flows through relationshps.

Relationships are so important in the Body of Christ. Paul tells Timothy how much Timothy means to him. He longs for Timothy, He remembers Timothy and Timothy fills Paul with Joy.

Paul serves God with a clear conscience. He prays for Timothy day and night. When we pray for others our hearts are connected to them and we will know their needs.
