Here's a bit about Jane

Jane Denny Richardson was promoted to Executive Director in August 2023 after spending 5 years as the Program Director at Friends of Foster Children. Jane is determined to make positive changes to the child welfare system and the community and believes that FFC is the change agent to assist in moving the system forward. She is excited to continue to grow the agency and be a support to the dependency system.

She has over 30 years of experience in working in non-profits, advocating for at-risk children and their families in the fields of substance abuse, domestic violence, and child welfare. Prior to FFC, she spent years working as a supervisor in the dependency system and helped create the Extended Foster Care program for Palm Beach County and continues to advocate within the community for teenagers in foster care.

Jane has a degree from Slippery Rock University’s School of Social Work. She has also obtained Certification in Ethical Leadership from the University of South Florida. She has been trained in Trauma Informed Care and has a certification in child welfare case management from the Florida Certification Board.

Jane is proud of her Pittsburgh area roots but equally as proud to now be an active resident in the Lake Worth Beach community where she has lived for the last six years.

Where do we find the courage to keep going no matter what? Claire and her husband were on the point of ending their first fostering placement. They're now raising 9 kids, 6 adopted from foster care, 2 biological kids and another who they are in the process of adopting. So what happened? Listen in as dive deep into persistence, resilience and keeping on keeping on.

Somehow Claire also finds time to be Director of Adoption Resources at Unite Ministries Louisiana.

Do you want me joy in your life? Who doesn't? Listen in as Joy talks about joy in parenthood, challenges and much more. Joy has two daughters, one of whom joined their family through adoption.

Joy has been involved with CASA since 2003. After earning her BA in Sociology at Vanguard University, she became a CASA volunteer with Orange County CASA in Santa Ana, CA.

During her seven years as a CASA volunteer, she worked as an event planner, program coordinator, and academic advisor at her alma mater.

In 2012, Joy relocated to Alaska and became the local program coordinator for Kenai Peninsula CASA, a partnership program between the Kenaitze Indian Tribe and Alaska CASA. Joy subsequently served as a Guardian ad Litem (GAL), advocating for children and youth in the Kenai court system. In 2018, Joy became the State Director of Alaska CASA. Her vision as a State Director is to see more children and youth served throughout Alaska by a CASA volunteer.

Audra is the founder and CEO of The Friends of Foster Care. She holds BS, MS, and PhD degrees in Engineering from Old Dominion University and has worked as an Assistant Professor and NASA Mission Manager. Since becoming a foster parent in 2015, Audra has dedicated her professional life to supporting foster children and building programs that create long-term impact.

Dr. Audra Bullock and her family became foster parents in 2015 when a three-year-old boy was placed in their home. His arrival changed their lives and transformed the way they viewed family. They fell in love with him immediately and made a lifelong commitment to support him, no matter where his foster care journey led.

Recognizing that, without meaningful support, he was at risk of following the same path that had brought his family into the foster care system, Dr. Bullock and her family made it their mission to ensure that other children in foster care have the love, stability, and resources they need to thrive. Since then, they have adopted two wonderful children through foster care and remain deeply grateful for the life-changing experience of building their family through foster care.
