It’s hard to imagine returning to the work you once loved, when your first work experience left you drained - and motherhood has changed your life.
After a difficult radio job and eight years at home raising her children, Jane Doerman confronted the underlying belief that was closing doors for her vocation: pursuing her calling meant sacrificing her family.
Now the producer of Raising Godly Girls, Jane shares how God reopened a path she thought she’d left behind and how support from others helped her recognize what was possible.
If you’ve ever wondered whether there’s still room for a God-given dream amid your many responsibilities, this conversation offers an honest and hopeful place to begin.
In this conversation, you'll hear:
✨ How to recognize underlying beliefs that limit your calling.
✨ What returning to media taught Jane about healthy work.
✨ How fasting brought unexpected emotional patterns to the surface.
✨ Finding moments with God when everyone needs your attention.
Jane has held onto this verse since high school; a verse that reminds her that when she is faced with fear, the Lord has given her the power of a sound mind: “For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline." ~ 2 Timothy 1:7

Your work and home are more than a place to perform - it is one of the most powerful places to reflect Christ. Every conversation, decision, and relationship can become part of a greater Kingdom purpose.
In this episode, Dr. JoAnn Flett, Executive Director of the Center for Faithful Business, shares her remarkable journey revealing how God weaves every experience into our calling - and how simple rhythms of connection and renewal help us lead with faith for the long haul.
In this conversation, you'll discover:
✨ Why business is deeply relational - and what that reveals about God.
✨ What an unexpected career path can teach us about God’s calling.
✨ Practical tips for supporting yourself on your journey of faith and work.
The Bible verse that reminds Dr. JoAnn to know Christ more deeply and trust Him through every season is: "That I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death. " ~ Philippians 3:10 NKJV
The work that sometimes leaves you tired, stretched, or wondering if it matters may be the very place God is creating something eternal.

What happens when you are called to carry extraordinary responsibilities, but life brings challenges that even your experience, leadership, and faith cannot resolve?
Rev. Dr. Margaret Kibben knows this tension well. After 35 years of serving in the Navy and Marine Corps, including as Chief of Chaplains for the Navy, she became the 62nd Chaplain of the U.S. House of Representatives, while also navigating personal challenges of raising a daughter with cystic fibrosis.
Through these experiences, she discovered a powerful meaning behind God's invitation to "Be still and know that I am God." Rather than simply finding a quiet moment, what if being still means learning when to stop struggling and allow God to be God?
Because even in the middle of the things we cannot fix, God is there.
In this conversation, you'll discover:
✨ Why she chose to truly live alongside the people she serves.
✨ How her family leaned on faith after a difficult diagnosis.
✨ What helps her care for people across political divides.
✨ What it means to serve faithfully without carrying everything ourselves.
The Bible verse that helps Chaplain Kibben remember that the Lord of hosts is the one Who is in control, is this: "Be still and know that I am God." ~ Psalm 46:10
The God you trust to hold others is holding you, too. So it's time to be still and let God do the rest.

Sometimes, the parts of ourselves we’ve learned to silence are the very parts God is inviting us to rediscover.
For years, Chel Cartmill, Next Chapter Transition Specialist & Coach, learned to survive by being the peacemaker and the "good girl" to keep everything together. But through heartbreak, injustice, and 30 hours in jail - after calling for help - God began unraveling the beliefs that kept her living from fear instead of truth.
This Renewal Conversation reveals Chel’s powerful story and encourages us all to step fully into being the women God created us to be.
Because, like an oak tree that never apologizes for the space it was created to fill, we were never meant to shrink from the life God designed for us.
In this conversation, you'll discover:
✨ How difficult transitions can uncover the identity God designed for you.
✨ Why your body’s signals may reveal more than you realize.
✨ The important difference between your skills, talents, and God-given gifts.
✨ How to discern your next faithful step when the path is unclear.
The Bible verse that guides Chel to put love for God and others at the center of her life is: Jesus said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ 38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ ~ 1 Peter 4:10

Key Points in this RESET episode:
✨ Why comparison affects even faithful, accomplished leaders.

✨ What Scripture teaches about staying focused on your unique calling.

As strong women we often keep serving and leading while carrying grief, doubt, or pain that no one sees. This becomes its own burden, and can make us feel isolated.
After a devastating loss shook her faith, Melissa Harrison, President & CEO of 4word, discovered that healing began when one woman had the courage to remove the "mask" and share.
Her story reveals why vulnerability isn’t a weakness in leadership, as it’s what gives others permission to be honest, seek support, and heal.
Melissa also shares about the upcoming 4word Boldly Conference for Christian women passionate about work and faith, which is happening in Dallas in October, which you don't want to miss (see below for a coupon code).
In this conversation, you'll discover:
✨ How high-achieving women often hide their deepest struggles.
✨ How vulnerability can transform the way women lead and connect.
✨ What makes a community feel truly safe and supportive.
✨ Why listening can be more healing than offering solutions.
The Bible verse that encourages Melissa to trust God in every season is: "And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose." ~ Romans 8:28 NKJV

There are seasons when nothing seems obviously wrong, yet something inside no longer feels the same. We continue accomplishing our responsibilities, meeting expectations, and serving others, but the joy, peace, and sense of purpose that once flowed so naturally begin to fade.
Our culture tells us that the answer is to work harder, become more productive, or find a better system. Jesus offers a very different invitation. Before He asks us to bear fruit, He invites us to remain connected to Him, because lasting transformation has always flowed from relationship, not striving.
In this week's Centering Reset, we'll explore why we quietly lose our sense of flow, what psychology teaches us about fragmented attention, and how abiding in Christ restores the clarity, peace, and fruitfulness our souls long for.
Key Points in this RESET episode:
✨ Flow begins with connection, not performance.
✨ Striving fragments. Abiding restores.
✨ Christ is the source of sustainable capacity.
✨ Stay connected, and let His life flow through you.

For many of us, Monday morning can feel like a tug-of-war between our professional ambitions, personal responsibilities, and the desire to be still and follow God.
And we know intellectually that work doesn't have to compete with faith - nonetheless, at times it can feel that way.
This is one of the places God invites us to live out boldly.
In this Renewal Conversation, Brittany Gaskill, Director of Programs & Partnerships for 4word, offers a refreshing vision for bringing your whole faith into your everyday work.
Together, we explore the pressures Christian women face and what becomes possible when women stop navigating their careers alone.
Brittany also shares about the upcoming 4word Boldly Conference for Christian women passionate about work and faith, which is happening in Dallas in October, which you don't want to miss.
In this conversation, we uncover:
✨ Making our workplace a mission field.
✨ Surrendering our career and calendar to God.
✨ Practical spiritual rhythms to help stay grounded throughout your day.
✨ Strengthening our calling through community and Scripture.
The Bible verse that reminds Brittany to use her God-given gifts, faithfully, is this: "Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms." ~ 1 Peter 4:10

There comes a point when giving becomes so natural that receiving almost feels uncomfortable. We faithfully care for our work, our families, our teams, and our calling, yet slowly begin believing that nurturing our own soul can wait until everything else is done.
But God never designed renewal to be something we earn after we finish serving.
And in this week's Centering Reset, we'll explore why nurturing ourselves is not a luxury but a spiritual discipline, and how connection with Christ offers daily replenishment.
Key Points in this RESET episode:
✨ Nurturing is not selfish. It is faithful stewardship.
✨ We flourish when we receive before we give.
✨ Sustainable leadership grows from deep spiritual roots.
✨ Christ nurtures us so we can nurture others.

Following God’s direction often requires trusting Him before we can see where He is leading.
When Mandy Horne, Registered Nurse & Board-Certified Health & Wellness Coach, and her husband sensed God calling them toward a major change, they did something radical: they sold all their furniture - even before they knew where they were going.
What happened next became a powerful lesson in surrender, discernment, and the doors that open when we stop placing limits on God’s direction.
Drawing from 25 years in nursing, Mandy now helps midlife Christian women reconnect with their identity in Christ, restore their physical and emotional well-being, and rise into what God is calling them toward next.
In this conversation, you'll discover:
✨ How to trust God one small step at a time.
✨ The most important piece of discerning the Lord's direction.
✨ How to reconnect with your true identity while moving through points of transition.
✨ A Scripture-breathing practice that will calm the mind & body, and anchor you in God’s presence.
The Bible verse that helps Mandy establish a grounding of God's peace is this: "The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters." - Psalm 23 NKJV
