On the next podcast, our host “Abhinesh” and our very respected guest “ Sumit” went way deeper than initially intended.
We wanted to bring the raw emotions on how to overcome our fears and demons that is inside everyone but are scared to talk about.
Much respect to “Sumit” for opening up about his feelings around depression and what he had to do to overcome a dark stage in his life. We think the stigma around Men having to put up a ‘Manly’ attitude in front of friends and family has been a standard practice, especially in the Nepalese community but by bringing this Podcast to our audiences, we wanted to radically challenge that stigma and help people understand that it can happen to anyone be it men, women, child or adult and we need to encourage everyone around us to seek for help, research and make a medium of asking for help and realizing and rectifying the bad phase of depression.
We believe this needs to be heard not just on our podcast but on the daily conversations we have with our friends, colleagues and family over dinner, The more we normalize Depression the more people we can help and have a positive impact on.
Please share this with all your hearts as there could be 1 person out there that could relate to Sumit’s story and have faith when nothing is going right a simple message that says “You are not Alone” can change the whole dynamics of how people react and feel about mental health.
Much love and peace.
