Welcome back Thrivers! This weeks episode is reflecting on how the month of February has gone and appreciating the new journey the 1st of the month always brings. Feburary brought two amazing surprises in my life. An exciting internship opportunity with KESQ as a social media marketer and a new 8 month old puppy I adopted from the shelter. Both have me on my toes now and have me excited for whats to come. So going into this first of the month getting used to being a dog mom and starting my first day with KESQ News has been something. However you start your month off, maybe with a new opportunity or start to something new may it bring you good intentions and happiness. Best, Thriving with Alissa!

Welcome back everyone, to Thriving With Alissa! Today's episode for me was really fun to do, since it's the first time recording an over the phone interview. Our guest Magdaleen Andrews works for a brand called Wolfpack Mentatlity, that provides CBD and Cannabis products. She is considered to be a CBD & Cannabis Influencer/Advocate through her social media presence. She uses her presence to do product campaigns to promote the products but also uses them personally. She shares how the cannabis industry has changed her life from being hooked on prescription pills for a health illness she battles. We go over and I ask her questions like "What is the difference between CBD and THC?, How or What methods can you use to consume cannabis?, and How does her family/friends feel knowing her cannabis lifestyle?" I hope this helps and answers all your questions related to this industry and breaks down any negative stereotypes of CBD & Cannabis. Thank you all for listening in and enjoy! For this episode of Thriving With Alissa, I get real. Letting you in on my own experience. So far processing what has happened since getting the call, that I was being laid off from my full time job from budget cuts due to Covid. Discussing how sometimes in turn of events like this it can affect our self esteem, mental health, and confidence. Even with all those factors in play, I've taken it as this might be a sign from the universe, my path is on a different direction. I've taken the (L) lose and learned how this can help me in life, how it is healthy to accept failure. I'll let you in on how I spend my time and how now I count myself as a Millenial using tiktok. Hope you all enjoy this episode, much love! xoxo- ThrivingWithAlissa

In this episode of Thriving With Alissa, we give you the up to date info on how to file your 2020 tax return. This tax year is something different than we've ever seen. We ask questions like ' Will I have to pay taxes on the stimulus check? How about paying taxes if I recieved unemployment? Are there any new tax deductions? What is itemizing? '. Answering all these questions is a super special guest, my mom. She started her own business 6 years ago (2014) in the Coachella Valley called Cathedral City Notary And Tax Service.
I admire her so much she's always hustled for my siblings and I, and has showed me to be an independent woman with multiple streams of income. I hope this information helps you guys feel reassured when it comes to you, your money, and where it's going to (taxes). If you would like to know more information or need a tax/ notary service reach out to my mom. Cathedral City Notary And Tax Service, Ask for Mari Godinez (760) 227-0590.
