Larry mentions his ride with Brian H up to Lake Berryessa in Napa,  and trying out Brian's BMW 310GS.  Brian talks about the advantages of the quick shifter on his 1000XR, and we discuss this. Tom did some teaching and local rides. Kevin did a quick ride, reveling in his purchase of ethanol free gas.

Tom's plan to purchase a Lithium battery for his bike triggers a discussion of possible impending battery shortage b/o pandemic related slowdowns.

Larry's doing nice, short rides.  Chris not so much this week.  Kevin, too, having fun locally, discovering new connections. Tom mentions his participation on a Road Riding Commission for the AMA. Tom talks about his experience replacing his GS battery with a Lithium battery, and, oh, the problems.

Chris has a senior moment, trying to remember his rides last week.   The rest of us didn't ride much.

We proceed to Ruthlessly Honest evaluations of our own motorcycles. 

Tom then queries us as to whether we would purchase the same or different if we had the choice at this point.  A telling question.  Tom fears the chain.

We veer into a discussion of the impending introduction of the HD Pan America.
