Bundle up & get cozy! On this week's episode, Michalene chats with Fran Kissell and Carol Vogel, two members of Holy Infant's Yarn Ministry, about knitting, community, and keeping those in need warm & cozy!

This week Michalene and Jeff talk all things November, the month of all holy souls, including All Saints Day, All Souls Day, praying for the dead throughout the month, and thinking about our own funerals.

This week begins with Michalene grilling Jeff on our new organ and some of the rearrangement that will take place for the music ministry in the church.  Then Jeff speaks with Rudy Lucente, a renowned organist in the Philadelphia area, who designed the organ being built for us by Allen Organ in Pennsylvania.

The music before and after the interview with Rudy are him playing his home instrument which he talks about.

Michalene recommends the documentary "Sour Grapes" about the fine and rare wine auction market centering around a counterfeiter who befriended the rich and powerful and sold millions of dollars of fraudulent wine through the top auction houses.

This week Jeff and Fr. Robert went on location to the Saving Grace Animal Adoption Organization in Wake Forest, where Fr. Robert's dogs Bolli and Tucker were adopted.  We are led on a tour by Heather, then sit down to talk with Molly Goldston, the founder and director of Saving Grace.

This week we were drinking Our Dog Blue riesling from Chateau Morrisette in the Virginia mountains.

This week Michalene picked out a Moscato for us to drink from The Path Wines in California.

Michalene recommends the "Walk - Don't Fall" presentation Wednesday, October 11 at 9:45am in the DeSales Center.  This will include information about fall prevention from an occupational therapist, followed by an introduction and chance to walk the Prayer Labyrinth.

One of our newest ministries is refugee resettlement, when our parish assists and accompanies a refugee family as they establish a new life in our community.  This week we speak with Kathy Bartlett and Amy Mackin, two active members of this ministry, about their experience and how the whole parish is involved in this work.

Michalene also shares some insights on our faith development programs as those groups start meeting again this week.

Today we were drinking a savignon blanc from Mason wine cellars in the Napa Valley.

Michalene recommends the Blessed is She Burn Eucharistic Revival which is October 6 at St. Thomas More in Chapel Hill.  She shared this quote from St. Therese of Lisieux: "There is but one thing to be done here below: to love Jesus, and to save souls for Him that He may be more loved. We must not let slip the smallest opportunity of giving Him joy. We must refuse Him nothing."

Jeff recommends the book "It Takes What It Takes: How to Think Neutrally and Gain Control of Your Life" by Trevor Moawad.
