Brian joined West Point because he wanted to go to college and get rich.

Brian did well enough at West Point, but never really dove deep into the opportunities that were presented. Upon graduation he became an Engineer Officer and was stationed in Germany where he found happiness in service and exploring Europe with his wife.

Brian’s life was dramatically altered when his first born child was diagnosed with leukemia.

Pain and tragedy forced him to reassess his priorities and what his time and talent were buying.

Jon went to West Point for leadership and saw his passion for academics, engineering, and tight knit teams pull him towards the sea.

Jon excelled at submarines, but high stresses in cramped conditions caused him to explore a new career path in naval salvage and recovery.

Along the way Jon earned a world class education in Business Management, Naval / Nuclear / and Mechanical Engineering,

Jon now teaches Naval and Marine Engineering full time at the United States Naval Academy.

Matt came from a family with a strong military tradition, so service wasn’t a question.

Matt shares his story and experiences at West Point. Exploring the boundaries of leadership, military development, spirit missions, and taxidermy.

His experiences in the military range from sitting in the dark with his battle buddy at Infantry Officer Basic the night of 9/11, to conducting operations in Eastern Afghanistan with the 82nd Airborne, to protecting Ballad Air Base from insurgent attacks in Iraq.

Life turns and twists and Matt found himself studying law at Georgetown University and beginning a career as a project finance attorney.

Tereh’s father graduated from West Point and served as an Engineer Professor on faculty. West Point was a constant feature in her childhood and her family; but it was always an opportunity, not a requirement.

Tereh made the decision to apply to West Point and the commitment to challenge herself and her potential.

As she continued in service Tereh’s network of friends and family gave her the freedom to test herself and her limits without fear of failure.

That freedom continued after her transition to the business world when she earned her MBA from Harvard and left an established and comfortable company to grow with a hungry upstart.

Star Hy was on the ground during the US exit from Afghanistan. As a diplomatic security service officer she and her team were critical in supporting the processing of Special Immigrant Visas for Afghans and their families who had supported the US during the war to immigrate to the US. This is her story.

Star talks about her roots in Little Rock, Arkansas and the community of friends and mentors that helped her get to and graduate from West Point. Star’s desire to serve and live honorably guides her service in Guantanamo & S.Korea as a Military Police Officer, and ultimately shape her decision to leave. When Star transitions to federal service her efforts to protect others grow in scope and impact; from Washington D.C. and Mexico City, to Sarajevo and Kabul.

Todd grew up in North Dakota and saw West Point a as unique opportunity to see the world and challenge himself. While at West Point Todd leaned into his strengths in Computer Science and carried it forward to his service as a signal officer. The War on Terror stressed the military’s ability to communicate vast amounts of information securely, over distance, at speed and Todd found his capabilities in high demand. Todd’s recent efforts have focused on ensuring that the Army recruits, trains, retains those skill sets for the long hall.

West Point broke Randy of bad habits and forced him to create new ones. Through humility, a strong work ethic, and leaning on the strengths of the those around him Randy learned to overcome and succeed in the face of adversity. A great story of knowing yourself and how to steer a team to success.

Kyle followed in the footsteps of his family attending West Point. Kyle did well at West Point and selected Vicenza, Italy as his first duty station. Soon being deployed as an Artillery Officer around the globe.

Upon completion of his service obligation Kyle entered into the fire of several elite firms in the financial world; developing market strategies, trading derivatives, and serving as a CFO for a start up. Kyle was successful, but not happy.

Kyle left the financial world in 2017 and found happiness as a gym owner in Milton Georgia. Kyle’s fulfillment now comes through direct relationships with his clients and the community.

Andy was inspired to join West Point following the tragic death of a family member. At West Point Andy found that his ability to play Army Football and serve in the military were being hindered by his academic skill sets. The Center for Enhanced Performance became his life line, and the source for his future passion. Unlocking the potential of others. Andy describes how he went from receiving training to coaching members of elite military units and professional athletes.
