Adrian grew up in Romania. The collapse of the Soviet Union and the recruitment of cadets from Eastern Europe gave him the opportunity to attend West Point. Adrian embraced the culture and the opportunities available during his time at school, but faced hard decisions about service in Romania upon graduation. Driven to innovate, simplify, and streamline the world around him Adrian has found success in the US and the the Technology startup community.

Natalie chose West Point to build her leadership skills and challenge herself. Natalie found those challenges at West Point, in Kosovo, and in Iraq before applying her skills successfully in the civilian Biotech world. Natalie shared many of these experiences with her husband Jamie, and speaks to how they’ve balanced life together.

Emily excelled at volleyball and geopolitics and engineering (DIRT) while at West Point. As an MP she cleaned up in aftermath of 9/11 and conducted detainee operations and host nation police training in Afghanistan and Iraq. Upon transition to the civilian world Emily became a serial entrepreneur and an investor focused on building and nurturing emerging companies.

At West Point you are taught that your attention to detail, focus, and effort can have a direct impact upon the success or failure of your platoon. I found this out at JRTC in 2002, when I killed my platoon, multiple times.

Jon grew up in a small town and saw West Point as an opportunity to prove himself and find his purpose.

Jon dove head first into West Point and the military. Finding success, before being separated under don’t ask don’t tell. National policy didnt keep pace with public sentiment.

Jon soon found himself and his purpose, in the space between public and private.

Brad joined West Point with a passion for flying and service, but poor eye sight challenged those goals and his motivation.

Brad wouldn’t let challenges impact his motivation again; in the future Brad would build.

Adria Horn was inspired by West Point from the first time she saw it. Through her experiences at the Academy, as a Military Police and Psychological Operations Officer, and in service to the state of Maine she has learned the value of reaching out, speaking up, and serving others.

May of 1996 I lost my scholarships for college, but not my goal of military service. June of 1997 I walked into Michie Stadium as a New Cadet at West Point.
