This week I did a group Zoom call with three college throwers to discuss what is keeping them motivated to train, how they felt when their season ended, and what advice/takeaways they learned from all of this

It was really fun and all three were great guys that I'd love to have a throwing session (or multiple) with in the future

Chris is a 4x NCAA Division I All-American and 3x Big 10 champ

Chris attended Rutgers after being called one of the greatest javelin throwers in South Jersey history

Outside of his success, he had multiple serious health complications including shoulder surgery and a serious heart condition

He is now back and continuing to throw in Seattle

Ironically, Ron was not a javelin thrower himself

However, he has an interesting story on how he got into it

Ron has been rebuilding javelins since 1982 and has built record breaking javelins for Jan Zelezny, Uwe Hohn, Tom Pukstys, and many more great throwers!

Mike has an awesome story of being a college baseball and football player who tore his ACL and then decided to throw the javelin

Gavin didn't start throwing the javelin until he was in his mid 20s and is now at his highest level at age 37
