As the church we are united by our mission to make Jesus known. During the Super bowl He Gets Us had a commercial that highlighted washing one another’s feet. Some believers have had a negative reaction to them. But hundreds of millions of people saw that Jesus washed people’s feet. Isn’t that a win for the Church?
Perry shares, “The gospel frees me up to fully repent and own my sin because I know the Lord in his great love will never turn me away.” Perry and Shawna have a conversation about the liberating power of daily repentance.
“All for one and one for all!” is the Three Musketeers motto. They knew they were a part of something bigger than themselves and their shared purpose took precedence over personal gain. We see this kind of unity in the early church in Acts 2 and 4. Does it reflect the church today? If not, we have some work to do because we are the church.
Last, Perry shares, “When Jesus came to me at my worst when I was 18, it wasn’t first to change me. He came first to show me his unconditional love and that’s what changed me!”
