Major health insurers Cigna and Humana are reportedly in talks to merge. The number of US physicians either employed by or affiliated with Optum  swells to nearly 90,000. And, the merger between BJC HealthCare and St. Luke’s Health System is expected to close at the beginning of the year. That’s coming up on today’s episode of Gist Healthcare Daily.
