They provide essential tips for protecting yourself: wearing light clothing, using repellent carefully, tucking pants into socks, showering after being outdoors, putting clothes in the dryer to kill ticks, and performing thorough tick checks. Proper tick removal with tweezers and saving the tick in case of later illness is also highlighted. Seeking medical care promptly if symptoms develop is crucial.
