Do you have the Northern Lights on your travel bucket list? Have you ever considered visiting Finland in order to see them? Trizzy never even THOUGHT of putting Finland on her list, until a booking mishap forced her to look into it. The original plan was to book an igloo in Alaska.

None of Trizzy's circle of friends has even been to the country, so it was thrilling to plan 9 nights/10 days chasing the Northern Lights, in a country she knows nothing about.

Our first episode of 2022 is all about how to plan a trip to Finland if you are mid-budget and have less than 2 weeks, but still want to pack in as many activities as possible! We promise you, Trizzy will have you searching for your next flight to Finland before the hour is up!

Cancelled flights, countries closing down, Uber extortion, new C-19 rules, masks on or masks off? Throughout the whirlwind that was 2021, we STILL managed to travel! And sometimes in the most usual, last-minute ways, but hey - we'll take it.

Traveling solo? Have you ever wanted to learn how to best protect yourself in unfamiliar settings? Is self-defense something you've always wanted to start but never prioritized?

Enter Rebecca Ahn, a world traveller who is now teaching self-defense classes to fellow travelers through her organization, Tough Cookie.  She noticed that most of the self-defense classes she came across were run by men and not focused on the needs of women, so she did the dang thing... and created her own!

Rebecca is the ultimate multi-hypenate: a self-defense instructor, martial artist, and former corporate ladder climber and Hollywood stunt women who left Hollywood a couple of years ago to travel and do the van life before the pandemic hit. Rebecca has survived violence and abuse and has turned her life around to empower women to protect and save themselves.

Meggie Tran, also known as Mindful Meggie, started a travel blog focusing on mental health during the pandemic. She wanted to explore deeper than pretty travel pictures over famous landmarks. Meggie joins Ticket 2 Anywhere podcast this week to detail her journey as a Vietnamese-American who is diagnosed with obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) and social anxiety, and what her triggers are especially while traveling. 

You get answers in this episode on travel + mental health on: what exactly OCD is and how it's one of the most misunderstood mental illnesses, how to talk about OCD around others, and how to practice more mindfulness while traveling.
