This week on Tidechasers podcast, we are going west coast to the land of the “ghost of the coast!” We had the privilege to sit down and chat with Tyler Vanosdell of Mission Bay Fly fishing co. Tyler is a local guide in the SoCal area of San Diego. He takes advantage and prides himself in a fishery available right in his back yard within city limits. With a major emphasis on educating and teaching everyone, Tyler’s guide service is unlike others. With services including fly casting lessons, fly tying lessons (in your own home!), and guided sessions of many natures, Tyler has attended two different fly-fishing guide schools to ensure that he was prepared to share his knowledge with everyone. Most days you will find Tyler wading the flats or surf, targeting Halibut or the elusive Corbina on the fly. Sit down and take a listen in this eye-opening conversation as we learn about the west coast fisheries and how Tyler intends to take Mission Bay Fly fishing Co to an entirely new level. This week, we welcome Captain Justin McGrady @the_sc_river_guide the the @tide_chasers Podcast. We first learned about Justin when we sat down with Tanya from @reelchica and at that point, it was obvious we had to get the rundown from Justin about the fishery that is the meat and potatoes of his guiding business.

On this weeks episode of Tide Chasers Podcast we sit down with NJ Native, Matthew Farrell. Matt has been chasing these little tunny ever since he got bit by the Albie Fever many tides ago. We got Matt to spill the beans with a few tips and tricks to help you land your first albie or better your albie game even further.

On this week's episode of Tide Chasers Podcast, we welcome Duncan Hathaway (jersey_doughnut) , a true offshore young gun who love to target pelegic species from all species of tuna to running the pots for mahi .

Duncan runs his 24' Center Console Cobia sometimes going 60 miles out of the manasquan inlet in search of these pelegic species. Being the ripe age of 21 he has definitely put his work and time in offshore to learn this fishery in a staggering 3 seasons . On this episode we break down and talk some tactics about pot hopping for those ever so tasty Mahi ( Dolphin, Dorado, mahi mahi ). From choosing the right tackle to the best approach to a buoy, Duncan tells us what he has learned that works really well to put meat in the box.
