Tie My Skates

The boys are back to discuss the NHL Trade Deadline with special guest Steven Ellis of the Daily Faceoff! The gang starts by catching up with Ellis (00:42) before diving into some World Juniors talk (13:00) and his thoughts on the Cutter Gauthier trade (16:24). They then discuss some Flyers that have been rumored to be on the trade block (18:00), notably Scott Laughton, Rasmus Ristolainen, Sean Walker and Nick Seeler. Steven hypes up Danny B (22:15) before the guys hop into various other topics such as Russia and the IIHF (39:44), the trade deadline as a whole (44:13), and some under the radar players that could be moved.

The All-Star break has come and gone as the Flyers get ready to embark on the final 32 games of the season. We start the episode discussing Carter Hart and the Hockey Canada scandal (00:50) before wrapping the segment with some discussion about Samuel Ersson and the other goalies in the Flyers prospect pool. The guys then talk about various Flyers topics including our thoughts on All Star Weekend, the signings of Tippett and Poehling (29:16), and the Flyers alumni event (45:05). In Around the League, (48:36) we review the Elias Lindholm and Sean Monahan trades as well as the Trevor Zegras rumors, Todd McLellan firing and the return of NHL players in the Olympics. In postgame the boys decide if DG should be allowed to choose a new player as his "My Guy" pick (01:02:18).

In a new Michkov centered segment, Across the Pond, we discuss his recent loan from SKA to HC Sochi, including the 3 point performance he dropped in the revenge game vs SKA on Monday (44:17). Then, in Around the League the guys talk about Bedard and locker room logo etiquette, Babcock’s abuse of power, the Zegras extension, the Red Wings acquiring DeBrincat and much more (50:19).
