Tiger Spotlight - A Podcast Highlighting Our Tiger Community

Rise and shine for this nurturing episode where we shine aspotlight on our Future Farmers of America club here at Edwardsville High School! These students are not just part of our local Tiger community, but an ever-growing national society. These students have accomplished some feats thatsome wouldn't dare cross. Not only do these students learn all about how to take care of themselves, but also preparing for the world ahead. They learn skills that are invaluable to the forever growing landscape. Along with informing of the new and improved agriculture center here at Edwardsville High School.

I can tell you this, we are completely enamored with these chicks – and I do mean the fluffy, adorable, winged animals that joined us in studio this week! Tune in to find out what FFA has hatching next!

In this episode of Tiger Spotlight, we highlight the loverof English language and literature teacher, Mrs. Ashley Lewis! From small-town beginnings to the big-school environment of EHS, she went from treating patients as a nursing assistant to teaching young minds. Mrs. Lewis shares her journey of growth, self-doubt, and finding her place in the literary community. Tune in to Episode 7 to learn more about her story and expertise as an EHS English teacher!

ASL Teacher and Club Sponsor Mrs. Dintelman joins us in thestudio to chat about the unspoken language – American Sign Language. This class has expanded in popularity as more tigers opt to learn how to use their hands instead of their voices when communicating with others. Don’t miss this one!

Tiger Spotlight showcases the EHS Interact Club this week with Ms. Brittany Charlebois and co-presidents Sophie McGillis and Mia Diltz. This youth organization of the Rotary Club focuses on making our school and community a better place through volunteerism. These tigers are determined to create a connection with our school and our community members and we couldn’t be more proud to shine light on them!

This year, our Tigers are taking a trip across the ocean toexplore the beaches for unforgettable Greek Getaway this Homecoming. From the glistening Mediterranean coasts to the sandy beaches to the delectable food, we will diveinto the culture and create a week we’ll never forget. Mrs. Tricie Mueller is not only a teacher here at Edwardsville High School, but she is much more than that. Mrs. Mueller is known for supporting her students and their needs every day here at EHS. While she is loved by many, she also leads a busy schedule outside of school hours. We are lucky to have her and can’t wait to share more about her with our Tiger community. Meet the one and only – Mrs. Mueller.

Mr. Stuart may be an assistant principal here at Edwardsville High School, but he is much more that just a title. Get to know one of our favorite APs beneath the surface. A tennis player? An architect? What else don’t we know about this guy? In this episode, Tiger Spotlight is going to shine a light on Mr. Stuart both inside and outside the halls of EHS. In Season 5, episode 2, meet the one and only – Mr. Paul Stuart.

Discover one of the most influential clubs offeredto our students here at EHS: Minds Matter Club (otherwise known as the M & M Club). Since this club originated, it has become widely popular - not only in Edwardsville, but worldwide. From selling Crumbl cookies in the cafeteria to expanding to overseas in Kenya with ambassadors in variousother international locations as well. Tune in to learn how this small idea has grown into an international initiative!
