Jack Jones was not only a legend of the Essendon Football Club but he also became a Tiger legend being named as captain of the Albury Team of the Century – such was his standing at Tigerland.
Before Jones started his VFL career with Essendon in 1946 he served in New Guinea and Bougainville during WW2 for 22 months with the 24th Infantry Battalion.
