we're back from botswana! in this episode, i share my reflections and learnings from this life-changing trip. in addition to eating AMAZING food and being blown away by nature, i ended up learning a lot about myself—specifically, my relationship to trauma and god. (crazy, right?) if you've been following my journey on social, i share more on the specific locations, events, and so much more.

this past month has been filled to the brim with back to back health appointments. i've always been the kind of person to avoid going to the doctors, even if i am in pain. however, the time has come for me to finally address everything. in this episode, i'm reflecting on aging, physical pain, my overall health, and why it's important to value your body.

a few months ago i found a lump in my left breast. it's been a frustrating process, to say the least. i'm sure it's fine, but docs haven't been able to give me an answer with 100% cerntainty, and i'm not sure how to resolve that! nobody likes uncertainty, so why is it so hard to figure this out?! in this episode i talk about what the journey of ultrasounds and second and even third opinions has been like. i'm definitely not a doctor, nor am i very knowledgable about breast cancer and breast lumps -- this is just my personal experience. this is also your reminder to give yourself a self-examination every now and then if it pertains to you!

i recently witnessed ocean vuong, the iconic poet, accept an award at a gala i recently attended, in which he completely upended the way i have understood this phenomenon of "imposter syndrome." his words have been at the forefront of my mind the last week, and have felt like a catalyst to a major breakthrough i'm facing about how i understand self-worth and practice self-affection.

i recently sat on a panel with ashton applewhite, the first "ageism activist" i've ever met. hearing her talk about how we're all conditioned to be ageist, and how ageism and ableism go hand in hand, was super eye-opening and thought provoking -- and i'm just going to be blunt about *all* the reflections i've been having about aging, age, and ageism. would love to know what you think!!

i've been on auto pilot trying to stay focused on the busy month of work i have...while also keeping up to date with some of the heartbreaking news that has been hitting headlines over the last couple days. ignorance is bliss -- but still ignorance: so how do we balance being socially aware and up-to-date about what's happening in our world, while also maintaining peace-of-mind? ruminating on this question in this episode.

recording this session from my bedroom in mexico! i've been traveling remotely, and with more flights, i've been getting in more hours of audiobook sessions. i also recently started executive leadership coaching, which involves some reading homework. i talk about some of the life changing books i've listened to, and some of the books i'm reading now and how they're fitting into my journey today.
