Patrick and Katie conclude their quarantine casts with something a little unexpected: SHIN GODZILLA (2016). While it might not have jump scares, it's plenty horrifying, and solves a problem every kaiju movie faces: What do you do with the people? Next week's homework: find time to do another podcast.

Patrick and Katie do something bold this episode: watch anime. (Katie can't stand anime!) Specifically, we watched some horror anime. We asked you, the constant listener, for a recommendation, and the response was universal: Satoshi Kon's PERFECT BLUE (1997).

Patrick and Katie delve into yet another horror movie Patrick hasn't seen before, FRIGHT NIGHT (1985), a movie with an all-time great logo and a powerful sexual energy. We also spend time with the well-liked remake from 2011, before revealing next week's homework: horror anime!

Patrick and Katie accidentally stumble into watching the entire I KNOW WHAT YOU DID LAST SUMMER trilogy—yes, there was a third movie—and realize A) Jennifer Love Hewitt had a singing career and B) the first movie was really frickin' smart and fun. Next week's homework: FRIGHT NIGHT (1985 & 2011).

Patrick and Katie take in a double feature of TWILIGHT ZONE: THE MOVIE alongside CURSED FILMS, a five-part documentary series about how "cursed" myths develop about films, ultimately hiding the human tragedies at the heart of them. It also explains how John Landis, a director on TWILIGHT ZONE, got two kids killed. Later, we discuss THE LODGE, a movie that somehow stars Alicia Silverstone?

As part of quarantine, Katie is forcing Patrick to watch a bunch of movies he's never seen before. Can you believe THE TERMINATOR is one of those movies? And now he thinks he's better that TERMINATOR 2? In this episode, we discuss the James Cameron take on FRIDAY THE 13TH and walk through the VHS movies Patrick's been watching, including LEVIATHAN and THE NEST.
