  • Sophie Wilson - Inventor of the ARM Processor
We’re joined by Sophie Wilson, who jointly designed the ARM processor along with Steve Furber. There are currently over 200 billion ARM-powered chips in existence, with around 7 billion shipping every quarter, equating to 900 chips per second and 70 million chips a day.
Sophie’s pioneering work is in nearly every smartphone, tablet & smartwatch on the planet, and that work continues today as a Fellow and Distinguished Engineer at Broadcom. Maximum PC called her on of “The 15 Most Important Women in Tech History”, and she has been honored as Commander of the Order of the British Empire, a Fellow of the Royal Society, an honorary fellow at Selwyn College, and a Distinguished Fellow of the British Computer Society, among many other awards and honors.
Sophie joins us to discuss the past, present, and future of the ARM processor, with a focus on the pressures of the early design process that created the fundamental principles for this design that have given it the flexibility and efficiency to become ubiquitous in 21st-century computing.

  • Miguel Alcubierre - The Alcubierre Warp Drive
We’re joined today by Dr. Miguel Alcubierre, who proposed the Alcubierre Drive in a 1994 paper as a theoretical solution to the field equations of General Relativity to allow the creation of a Star-Trek type warp.
Dr. Alcubierre is the Director of the Nuclear Sciences Institute at UNAM, and joins us today to discuss his vision for faster-than-light travel.
Alcubierre's proposed Warp Drive solution was first published as "The Warp Drive: Hyper-fast travel within general relativity" in the science journal Classical and Quantum Gravity. In this, he describes the Alcubierre drive, a theoretical means of traveling faster than light that does not violate the physical principle that nothing can locally travel faster than light.
In this paper, he constructed a model that might transport a volume of flat space inside a "bubble" of curved space. This bubble, named as Hyper-relativistic local-dynamic space, is driven forward by a local expansion of space-time behind it, and an opposite contraction in front of it, so that theoretically a spaceship would be placed in motion by forces generated in the change made by space-time.

  • Liz Parrish - BioViva's Quest To Reverse Aging
We’re joined today by Liz Parrish, MBA, the Founder and CEO of BioViva Sciences USA. Liz made medical history and international headlines in 2015 when she volunteered to be the test subject for an experimental procedure that lengthened the telomeres in her cells, which might just be the first step towards future treatments to reverse aging.

  • David Harary - Space-Based Remote Sensing
We’re joined today by David Harary to discuss space-based remote sensing and how it is used to measure & predict the effects of global climate change, which is recognized as an accelerant for social & political instability.
David Harary is a Senior Analyst with Agensys Corp. and Booz Allen Hamilton working for the Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff for Operations of the Air Force at the Pentagon.
He has built his experience around space-based remote sensing programs at NASA, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, and the U.S. Department of Defense. He was named one of the “Top 20 Under 35” by Space and Satellite Professionals International, participated in numerous professional boards & advisory groups, and has written articles appearing in publications such as Just Security, The National Interest, the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists, Slate, The Jerusalem Post, and the Woodrow Wilson Center's New Security Beat, among others.

  • David Deptula - 21st Century Air Power: Opportunities & Risks
We’re joined by Lieutenant General (ret.) David Deptula, the Dean of the Mitchell Institute of Aerospace Power Studies.
Gen Deptula is a world-recognized leader and pioneer in conceptualizing, planning, and executing national security operations from humanitarian relief to major combat.
He transitioned from the U.S. Air Force in 2010 at the rank of Lieutenant General after more than 34 years of service. He joins us today to discuss the risks & opportunities of Air Power in today’s rapidly changing world.

  • Peter Garretson - The Space Force & Emerging Economy
We’re joined by former USAF Chief Futurist Peter Garretson to discuss his role in helping establish the vision and identity for the US Space Force.
Peter’s accomplishments include a 33 year career with the Department of Defense, and service in a number of prestigious roles such as the Chief of Future Technology for USAF Strategic Planning in the Pentagon, the Director of the Space Horizons Task Force, and the Division Chief of Irregular Strategy, Plans and Policy, and as a strategic policy advisor to the Chief of Staff of the Air Force.
Peter has also served as an assistant professor of comparative military studies at the USAF Air Command and Staff College, as member of the National Space Society Board of Directors, and in his current role as Senior Fellow in Defense Studies at the American Foreign Policy Council.

  • John Parmentola - Fusion Energy Research
We’re joined today by Dr. John Parmentola, a physicist, Adjunct Staff member at the Rand Corporation, and formerly a Senior Vice President at General Atomics, where he led the company’s Energy and Advanced Concepts Group. He joins us today to talk about the future of fusion energy and his senior leadership role at the DIII-D National Fusion Facility.

  • John Alexander - Non-Lethal Weapons
Col. John Alexander is a retired United States Army colonel. An infantry officer for much of his career, he is best known as a leading advocate for the development of non-lethal weapons and of military applications of the paranormal.
He joins us to talk about non-lethal weapons, UFO’s, the Hutchison-Effect, and the future of Nanotechnology. Alexander was a career CIA technology expert, the author of numerous books on the future of technology in warfare, and played a critical role in the NIDS study on UFO’s. John Alexander was the funding authority for the 1980's research into the Hutchison Effect. The post Col. John Alexander on Non-Lethal Weapons appeared first on American Antigravity.

  • John Brandenburg - GEM Theory & Poynting Vector Propulsion
Dr. John Brandenburg is a plasma physicist and got his BA in Physics from Southern Oregon University in Ashland, Oregon, his MS in Applied Science at University of California at Davis and his Ph.D. in Theoretical Plasma Physics at the UC Davis extension campus at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory in Livermore, California. The title of his thesis was A Theoretical Model of a Reversed Field Ion Layer Made of Monoenergetic Ions. Its topic was magnetic confinement of plasmas for controlled nuclear fusion.
Dr. John Brandenburg joins us to discuss how the “Murad-Brandenburg Poynting Field Conservation Equation” may offer insights into recent antigravity experiments involving rotating magnetic fields. In particular, he describes how his work serves as a theoretical basis for antigravity experiments by Paul Murad and Morningstar Applied physics which used a device similar to a Searl effect generator.
