Continuing our series on The Book of Acts, Pastor John talks about chapters 10-12 to show us that hell can't hold what God has freed! What does this mean for us today and how can we follow accordingly? How do we live our lives and people that have been free, not ones still in bondage.
What does it look like to act according to The Spirit?
Christi walks us through Acts, chapter 4-6 to examine the disciples' actions and reactions. In the midst of problems, trials, and accusations, they didn’t get mad or mean. While their accusers ranted, the disciples stood strong. When threatened, they didn't get angry; they got bold. How can the church and we as believers act and live in Holy Boldness when faced with difficult circumstances?
Jonathan Chaine, a TRC elder, breaks down Acts chapters 1-3. In the first three chapters of Acts, we find that when the church consists of teaching, fellowship, and prayer, the results are unity, generosity, and joy. Acts also tells us that we all have a gift, a promise, power, and a purpose--and the power of God is given to us to do good works and acts of love that should always point people to Jesus. What are you gonna do with what God has given you?
Conversations With God-The Jesus Way- are directly accessible to us! Where do we start? Join us as we unpack John 17 and tap in to the fullness of intimacy with God in prayer.
Where do you find yourself today? Are you finding it hard balancing your life with Jesus with the things going on around you? Or are you unashamedly pursuing Him with all you have? How can we be spiritually undone to step into the fullness of what God has for our lives? Find out as PJ unpacks John 12.
This week, Christi unpacks John 7-9 to remind us of these truths through Jesus' testimony:
When there is Division, there is perfect Timing.
Where there is Doubt, there is irrevocable Truth.
Where there is Dispute, there is an undeniable Testimony.
Where there is Disgrace, there is Radical Transformation.
The culture of Jesus' time claimed that nothing good ever came from Nazareth, it Jesus knew the truth of where He came from and the truth of where He was going, because He clung to the truth of the Father.
When Jesus asks us to give, will He come through? When we give, does He multiply it?
This week, Pastor John breaks down John chapter 6-- a chapter in which Jesus teaches us an important message on giving faithfully. When it's hard to let go, and it seems like all you have will never be sufficient, God meets you in your obedience and trades you abundance.
In the first sermon of our John and Acts Series, PJ goes over John, chapters 1-3. In these three chapters, John describes Jesus as the light that came into this world. John also describes three types of people that Jesus came to seek:
1. The Removed
2. The Rejecting
3. The Religious
How does Jesus, the light, reach each one of these groups? More importantly, which group are you, and how is Jesus reaching out to you today?
Have you ever found yourself exhausted and weary in the waiting? In this message, Pastor John unpacks Isaiah 55 to reveal four truths about God:God’s ways are higher.God’s timing is perfect and purposeful. God’s word always produces fruit.God’s plan leads to joy and peace. How can this be? How can it be that the very thing that seems exhausting is what God is ready and able to use for His glory and our good? Tune in to find out.
Many struggle because, if God felt more real—if we could see or touch Him—believing would be easier.
In this week's message, Pastor John responds to this struggle, arguing that God is the 𝘮𝘰𝘴𝘵 tangible thing. God is so tangible, in fact, that He's the God you can't miss. All other things fall away, and once the dust settles, God remains in the midst of the absence. And yet, believing is hard for many—so what is the secret to contentment in the mystery? Instead of a distant illusion, it might just be something so present that's it's hard to miss.
