The heart of James (the pastor, the flawed brother of Jesus) is a play for authenticity and wholeness of a life of faith. This series is an integrity check, not a checklist for our daily lives. A key piece of an integrity of faith is resilience – which is learned through trials, refining, and a citizenship that is beyond this world.

God serving us is an absolutely ridiculous notion – except that we didn’t come up with it, he did! If service is not beneath the God of the universe towards his people, then how much more should we serve – WITHOUT RESERVATIONS!

We don't typically think of God asking us questions, but He does. This week we will talk about one of those questions- 'Where are you?'

Our God specializes in liberation. Some of the things that hold us back and enslave us come from our enemy. Some come from consequences of other people’s actions. Some we take on ourselves from the desires of our flesh. But God, our liberator, has the real power in our lives!

When so many of us walk through life, just desperate for someone/anyone to truly KNOW us, Psalm 139 is a wonderful, satisfying part of God’s love-letter to us (the Bible). But there are spoilers throughout our lives, maybe even ourselves sometimes. Lead us in the way everlasting, God!

Psalm 51 The God Who Forgives

In this psalm we reflect on TRUTH about life and how I live it. And, we see God’s GRACE and how He gives it.

What does my engagement and time spent with the ‘law’ of God look like? Dusty, unused, dried – or vibrant, full of life drawn from the stream, a growing fruitful plant? Where does this reflection lead me? What can I be pursuing?

Through a heartbreaking piece of David's story, we learn the ways that God is faithful to rescue us. We explore the question whether the miracle of rescue necessitates getting me out of a situation or getting me through it.
