Mike Conley has arrived, and right away you can tell that there is more of a flow in the offense, in particular with Rudy Gobert, who is playing much better. We saw an amazing defensive stand in Dallas' final possesion, which lead to a huge road victory. Overall though, the defense still left something to be desired in both Memphis and at home against Washington.

The Timberwolves traded D'Angelo Russell in a three team trade for Mike Conley Jr, Nickeil Alexander-Walker and three Utah second round picks. Some may not like this trade immediately, but it certainly gives the Timberwolves more of a leader on the floor, along with a decent shooting guard prospect. According to many a journalist, this may also be addition by subtraction, considering some of the attitude that D'Angelo Russell brought into the locker room.

The Timberwolves won two out of three games, but the continued lack of urgency vs teams like the Houston Rockets has baffled fans world wide. Anthony Edwards was nothing short of amazing this past week, literally doing it all, with 44 points in Target Center against, yes the Houston Rockets, at least he has shown some urgency.

It was a decent week for the Timberwolves, going 3-2, but the game vs Utah was very telling for many of us who have been skeptical of the Rudy Gobert trade, as 21 year old Walker Kessler put in a 20-20 effort in front of fans at Target Center, while Gobert played a mere five minutes. Kyle Anderson continues to show his value, adding a triple double on the same night, and had a great week overall.
