Anthony Edwards has taken on a role that he thought wasn't his cup of tea just a year ago, becoming a floor general. Edwards is showing more and more signs of growth, and this clearly is another step towards him becoming not only an all-star, but one of the best players in the entire NBA. Naz Reid also is taking big steps forward, showing how valueable he truly is for this franchise, and has many of us begging for the team to keep Naz here, long-term.

After a very nice game in Utah, and a sucessful homecoming for Rudy Gobert, things went south quickly in Portland, as it seemed no one wanted to play defense or rebound what-so-ever. The Wolves were decimated in both games on the glass, giving Portland second and third chances, which resulted in overall bad performances. The Wolves managed only 88 points vs the LA Clippers, making many fans wonder, "What is going with this team?"

The Minnesota Timberwolves continued to struggle with ball control, but at least the takeaways continue to climb as well, with Anthony Edwards getting 12 steals in two games! Rudy Gobert stepped up big-time vs Indiana, showing some leadership. D'Angelo Russell had the quote of the week, saying how "Ant lead, we followed" which is a very good sign going forward for this organization.

This team is still in need of a leader, THE leader. On too many occasions, veteran players have come in, saying the same thing. With Karl Anthony Towns' calf strain, this is a golden opportunity for Anthony Edwards to take the reigns of this team, and for real. He showed outstanding signs of just that, versus Memphis. Now hopefully this becomes a trend and not a mirage.

The Minnesota Timberwolves have extended their winning streak to five games, despite some major swings, particularly in Philadelphia and versus Miami. The win in Indiana might have been the most impressive of the year. Anthony Edwards made some pretty spectacular blocks, including a game saver in Philly!

We get caught up since the last episode late October. Since then, the Timberwolves went into quite a down spriral, and have been under .500 ever since. There were times it appeared this team has a number of "part time" players, that show up from time to time, but lacked any sense of urgency. Lately, things have been a bit better in the last two games, which hopefully is a sign that maybe they are working full-time after all.

Rudy Gobert is picking up where he left off in Utah, looking like the All-Star center that he is, gobbling up rebounds with a vengeance! Anthony Edwards, after a poor shooting opening night, put in 30 points in back-to-back games, and looks meaner and more mature to boot.
