Time Extend is finally back for the new year, and we've brought a special guest to begin 2020 right. We're joined by none other than veteran racing game designer Paul Lovell, who currently works on Codemasters' F1 franchise. Paul's resume could fill several episodes alone, but for this show, we're particularly interested in his involvement with 2007's beloved Sega Rally Revo. Paul is able to offer a behind-the-scenes perspective on what remains the last great Sega racer, up to and including the tragic shuttering of the short-lived Sega Racing Studio, gone far too soon.

The biggest racer of 2019 is finally here and, well, the boys have mixed feelings about it. There's little doubt that Codemasters' Grid reboot recaptures the flair of the original, but it's the lack of depth that is the subject of this unnaturally cynical installment of the irreverent racing game show you know and love.

To celebrate Autosport's Switch release and the forthcoming reboot, the boys dive into the beginnings of Codies' premier circuit racing franchise before discussing their hopes for the future.
