Christian talk show host Eric Metaxas felt compelled to write the book Letter to the American Church.

After having studying the German church during the Nazi era in his research for his exceptional biography entitled Bonhoeffer: Pastor, Martyr, Prophet, Spy, he was struck by the disturbing similarities with today's American church.

Echoing Dietrich Bonhoeffer's prophetic call, Metaxas exhorts his fellow Christians to repent of their silence in the face of evil before it is too late.

After all, it was the brave Bonhoeffer who famously said, "Silence in the face of evil is itself evil. Not to speak is to speak. Not to act is to act. God will not hold us guiltless."

Indeed, that singular quote is one of my favorite quotes of all time. And the courage that he embodied inspires me today.

Adam McManus and I believe that we desperately need courage in the face of today's evils of abortion, evolution, euthanasia, sexual perversion, and the Left's indoctrination of children.

Our decadent culture demands Christian courage.

While it might be evident in your life, it's been sorely lacking in the U.S. Senate, where, in a 61-36 vote, they approved the Disrespect for Marriage Act. Not only did it codify homosexual faux marriage, but polygamous faux marriage to boot.

It would not have passed without the help of 12 traitorous Republicans. Suzanne Bowdey of The Washington Stand wrote that we witnessed "the collapse of Christian courage. Decency has never required compromise."

2 Timothy 1:7 comes to mind. "For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind."

Sadly, President Biden signed the Disrespect for Marriage Act into law on December 13th to the cheers of the sexually perverted on the White House lawn.

The Silence of the Church

In light of the Red Wave fizzling into the Red Ripple on Election Day, November 8th, Adam McManus and I dedicated a program to the need for pastors to unashamedly preach a Biblical worldview.

Kevin Swanson, founder of Generations Radio and the author of Apostate: The Men Who Destroyed the Christian West and Epoch: The Rise and Fall of the West, joined us with his analysis.

Sadly, out of the 384,000 American pastors, only 2.8% preach that:

• God created each person. Therefore, we should protect babies from conception. (Jeremiah 1:5, Psalm 106:38, Psalm 127:3, Psalm 139:13-16, Proverbs 6:16-19, Proverbs 24:11, Proverbs 31:8, Luke 1:41-42)
• God created us male and female. Therefore, any attempt to wear the opposite gender's clothing, present oneself as the opposite sex, require people to refer to you by pronouns that violate your God-given design, take hormone-blocking drugs, or elect to receive mutilating surgeries of healthy breasts or genitals is sinful. (Genesis 1:27, Deuteronomy 22:5)
• God created everyone as heterosexuals who have His blessing to experience sexual intimacy with a life-long opposite sex spouse. Therefore, anyone who engages in pre-marital or extra-marital heterosexual behavior is in sin. And anyone who engages in any homosexual activity is in sin. (Genesis 2:24, Leviticus 18:22, Matthew 15:19–20, Matthew 19:4-6, Mark 10:6–9, Romans 1:24-27, 1 Corinthians 6:9-11, 1 Corinthians 6:18-20, Ephesians 5:31-32, 1 Timothy 3:2, 12, Hebrews 13:4)

I also warned local Christians against three San Antonio area squishy Evangelical pastors who do not have the Biblical courage to disciple their respective flocks about the moral issues that face America.

They include:

• Pastor Max Lucado of Oak Hills Church in San Antonio, Texas
• Pastor Jason Brown of 1910 Church in Boerne, Texas
• Pastor Alex Lahue of Messiah Lutheran Church in Boerne, Texas.

Adam McManus and I documented the dangers of embracing homosexual behavior. On average, a homosexual man or lesbian's lifespan is dramatically shortened by 20-30 years.

Plus, Biblically speaking, there are clear warnings against rejecting God's divine design.

• Leviticus 18:22 says, "Do not have sexual relations with a man as one does with a woman; that is detestable."
• Romans 1:24, 26-27 says, "Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error."
• And 1 Corinthians 6:9-11 asks, "Do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor men who have sex with men nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God."

Genesis 2:24 reveals that God made man for the woman and the woman for the man in marriage. It says, "That is why a man leaves his father and mother and is united to his wife, and they become one flesh."

Hebrews 13:4 underscores the importance of faithfulness within heterosexual marriage. It says, " Marriage should be honored by all, and the marriage bed kept pure, for God will judge the adulterer and all the sexually immoral."

We also cited a persuasive column from Dr. Michael Brown, a Christian talk show host. It's entitled "Let us not forget the "LGB" when pushing back against the "T."

Adam McManus and I explore the explosion of euthanasia deaths in Canada.

So far, since 2017 alone, the bodies of 31,664 precious Canadian bodies are stacked high! And they don't just include those facing a terminal illness diagnosis and imminent death.

The initial precautions have been cast aside as the medical industry is looking to save money by bumping off those who do not have a terminal illness, the mentally ill, and, starting in March of 2023, supposedly "mature minors."

Plus, we take a closer look at a 23-year-old young man named Kiano who wants a doctor to kill him as he grapples with diabetes, the loss of vision in one eye, and the depressing reality of not having a girlfriend.

Adam McManus and I interviewed Allan Parker, President of The Justice Foundation, who asserted that there are some intriguing similarities between the 1954 Brown v. Board of Education and the 2022 Dobbs vs. Jackson Women's Health Organization rulings of the Supreme Court.

In both cases, the Supreme Court admitted it was wrong. In the first, they admitted that the races should not be segregated. In the second, they admitted that there was no constitutional right to abortion.

Plus, Parker addressed:

* the Safe Haven law that allows a woman to give up her child within 60 days to a fire station or hospital.

* the Biden administration's attempt to provide abortions to members of the military and their dependents on military bases in pro-life states that have outlawed abortion.

* Stacey Abram's assertion that pro-lifers are somehow inventing the sound of the heartbeat on the sonogram of babies.

* the FBI's harassment and prosecution of peaceful, pro-life activists for standing on the right-of-way in front of abortion mills urging women to choose life at the last minute.

• Schools should be places of education, not indoctrination.
• Parents and guardians should have access to view what their children are learning in the classroom and an unobstructed method of questioning material they find unsuitable.
• There is no place for sexually explicit content in any of our Texas schools.
• Students should not have access to tangible material that would be blocked if they tried to access it online.
• Parents should have school choice to choose which public or private school best meets their child's needs. Or they should have the freedom to homeschool. Their tax dollars should follow the school they pick.
