Donald Fifield Bolles (July 10, 1928 – June 13, 1976) was an American investigative reporter for The Arizona Republic who was known for his coverage of organized crime in the area, especially by the Chicago Outfit.  His murder in a car bombing was suspected to be mob-related, but could his murder been for other reasons?

The morning of August 10,1991 a cook for the Waddell Buddhist Temple came to work as usual. The cook opened the door to discover Arizona’s most gruesome mass shooting. There were p members shot in the back of the head and placed face down in a circle. An investigation launched and 4 men from Tucson were arrested and brutally interrogated but did police have the right suspects. Sloppy forensics, false confessions and 13 hour interrogations did little to help solve the case. Finally with a small break in the case, everything changed.

On February 24, 2006, Charles Vallow married Lori Ryan (Afterwards knows as Lori Vallow) in Las Vegas, Nevada.  Charles,  a lifelong Catholic, became a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS), converting to his new wife's faith. This is the story of this fine man’s demise at the hands of the people that he trusted.
