You do not get to decide my worth with your unworthiness. We choose sides that serves particular narratives of power, privilege, inferiority and superiority and leave us, lead us to unhuman, inhumane choices... until...

Scars are stories. They are testimonies of life that can make the pain of the past remain a bleeding wound in the present. They are signs of life lived, symbols of why we live. What stories do our scars tell?

We are brought to battlegrounds in life where we will face adversaries with many faces, fight with advocates in many forms...the greatest one, one which can be adversary and or advocate, is our own soul....one of mine was, is my Hijab.
