Bruce Kennedy is an award-winning media and public relations professional who broke into reporting on the legal cannabis industry almost a decade ago.  Since that time Bruce has crafted his own beat covering this booming industry. Today, he is a regular contributor for Leafly and DOPE magazine where he has a big feature story in the April 2019 edition about the uphill struggle for the medical cannabis industry in the United States. Early in his career, Bruce worked for CNN as a producer, copy editor and writer in Atlanta, New York and Asia.  After leaving CNN, Bruce was the news director for the NPR member station in Atlanta. Bruce studied History at Bowdoin University and was heavily involved in the school’s newspaper.

Since 2008, Jim has worked tirelessly with members of his team to help developing countries structure and manage public private partnerships (PPPs) and other types of blended finance transactions to develop infrastructure and other public services in Africa, Eurasia and Latin America. But the work doesn’t stop there. Jim has also seen his fair share of law books, working as a finance attorney in private law firms representing investors and companies in U.S. and international equity & debt financings, mergers & acquisitions, business start-ups, and licensing arrangements. With a resumé already loaded with experience, Jim co-founded the Latin American Private Equity & Venture Capital Association (LAVCA), a non-profit member organization that supports private equity & venture capital in Latin America through education, networking, research and advocacy. He has spent more than two decades working at the junction of policy, media, philanthropy and global issues.  Previously, Jeremy spent 11 years at the global humanitarian organization Mercy Corps, where he helped guide the organization’s global strategy and position the Portland-based nonprofit as one of the most respected humanitarian organizations in the world.
