Here we are at episode 5 of Timeless Talks! Today Simon is joined by professional track and field athlete, Olympic Trials Qualifier, motivational speaker, author, and founder of “Fostering Success”, Steven Benedict. At a young age, due to abuse that was endured in his home, Steven and his brother were placed into foster care. After spending many years moving around, the boys were adopted by an amazing couple. From there, Steven was finally able to feel unconditional love and acceptance. Unfortunately, the pain and suffering didn’t stop there. Both his adopted mother and father suffered tragic deaths within a few years of each other. Thankfully, Steven has found a way to use the hurt he’s felt in his life to make big changes! He has founded a non-profit organization that pairs professional athletes with children in the foster care system. Listen as Simon and Steven share their stories, outlooks on life, and how they believe if we spend more time showing our youth love and acceptance, then they will grow up to create extraordinary lives.

About Timeless Talks Podcast:
Timeless Talk listeners will experience a dynamic and intergenerational perspective on masculinity. They will get to experience unique stories from men and boys of all ages that are relatable and focused on mental health issues. By having a dynamic group of participants that are real and talk about real issues our listeners will feel that they are not in this alone, and others are experiencing similar issues and persevere through them. There is a way through, it’s not just me - type of connection.
We want the listeners to relate to each generation through their own personal journey and by witnessing their parents, grandparents, brothers, uncles, nephews, and children.
We started this show to bridge the generational gap in our male community. To connect our seniors with the greater community, honour their life experience, and pass down their wisdom. To connect our youth to the greater community, acknowledge them and their intrinsic wisdom and guide them into manhood. And pass up their wisdom and advice so we can pave the way for the next wave of masculine leaders. Currently, we are lacking healthy rights of passage and we believe it is essential for our conscious human evolution. We want to connect the adult generation, and hold them accountable for being the bridge, and creating a legacy of awareness that is a pearl of living wisdom.
