There are four key questions, four responses, that are necessary for an ongoing and stronger relationship with the true God. These four key questions and responses are often summed up with the single word “Confession” or “Repentance”; they need to be part of your daily walk with Jesus. A house divided is a house with troubles. A heart divided is even worse. But, that's what so many of us cling to: a heart divided. Divided between God and something, or someone, else. A sort of "God+". It doesn't work, but we try to make it work anyway. What did Jesus do for divided hearts? How does he captivate and reunify divided hearts? Join us this episode to see how he removes every idol.

The legacy media and social media certainly don’t talk about a particular weapon used in warfare today against people. It seems that having a few idols is not only acceptable but expected. We have armies of influencers firing texts and reels in our direction, all in an attempt to take make us take our eyes off of Jesus and focus on someone or something else. Join us this episode as we learn how to defend ourselves from these attacks.

When the Bible uses the word “heart,” it is referring to the seat of your emotions, the command center, the domain of your desires, the place of inner thoughts and feelings. To have a heart for God means that God has our heart, because it is in the heart that we decide to choose for or against God in our daily faith walk in life. Which gets us back to the question at hand: how do I grow spiritually, how do I have a healthier “heart” for God this new year?

Two thousand years ago, our heavenly Father sent his Son, a grace gift into the world, to pay for all the times we “don’t measure up” to his holy standard. In order for there to be a “no strings attached” offer of salvation there had to be a death. Our heavenly Father died to his right for us to pay for what we had done, to be punished for our sins. Join us this episode to find out exactly what it is that makes Christmas merry.
