The Celtics lost to the Orlando Magic 117-109 but the headline of this game is Timelord's return. As tough of a loss as this is especially after losing 2 of our last 3 coming into this one, it's hard to talk about much else besides the play of Robert Williams. After missing the first 29 games of this season, he came out and certainly needed to work out his jitters. He had 3 fouls in his first 4 minutes and was kind of all over the place. Then, he caught an Alley Oop from Marcus Smart and everything shifted. He was blocking shots, grabbing lobs, switching defensively and sprinting up the floor like he never missed any time at all. This was as welcoming a sight as any because the Celtics need a guy like Timelord to open up shots at the rim because of his ability to catch lobs. Overall, this is a great game for Timelord but not so much for the Celtics.

Outside of the Jays who combined for 57pts, the rest of the team really struggled in this one. After hitting 5 of our first 7 3pt attempts, the Celtics went ice cold and only hit 6 of our next 39 for a whopping 15% the rest of the way. This Celtics team has a bunch of guys that can shoot at a very reliable clip but nothing was falling in this one. Grant and Brogdon both shoot the 3 over 45% this season and combined for 2-12. Marcus Smart who certainly isn't known for his shooting ability was 1-7. Even Tatum, an MVP candidate was only 2-8. This was a brutal showing after a scorching hot start. At the end of the day, Timelord is back and as much as it hurts losing to a team like the Magic, we are on to the next one with a fully healthy squad (well sort of without Gallo).
