Recently I had a short weekend break in Glasgow a city that still has four Police Boxes on it’s streets so here’s an audio diary of my first visit to Scotland.

Update: Since returning I’ve learned there’s a further two boxes to discover so stay tuned for a follow up show next year.

A return appearance for the Slitheen in this week’s 2005 series commentary Doctor Who: Boom Town, which showrunner Russell T Davies wrote for Annette Badland and as a character piece it’s one of the best episodes of the season for both herself and Chris Eccleston.

Present show runner Stephen Moffatt’s first script for the new series gets the commentary treatment this week in my reassesment of the 2005 series, Doctor Who: The Empty Child is still appropriately creepy though it’s age does dull it’s surprises.

My 2005 series rewatch reaches Doctor Who: The Long Game, one of the best episode of Series One with excellent guest appearances by Simon Pegg and a cracking script from Russell T Davies possibly so good due to it’s long gestation(he originally had the idea back in the 1980s)
