This year's audio diary of my visit to Wales starts with Barry Island after that my mood slips resulting in a rant but things pick up for the conclusion as I have a Doctor Who Experience themed day with members of the Staggering Stories podcast including a quiet and reverential visit to the current TARDIS set.

Gallifrey One coverage continues with this panel from the Sunday that brought together many people who'd worked on Doctor Who in the 1970s to talk about that era. Charlie Ross talked to Phillip Hinchcliffe, Stephen Thorne, June Hudson, Dick Mills and Andrew Smith.

Sorry about the low quality album art for this episode again my PC is refusing to read my camera card.

I was lucky enough to be in the audience for another of the BFI's special events to celebrate 50 years of Doctor Who. Thanks to a spare ticket from my friend Rebecca we were treated to a big screen showing of Doctor Who: Remembrance of the Daleks and interviews with John Leeson, Mike Tucker, Dick Mills and a main panel discussion panel with Silvester Mc Coy, Sophie Aldred and Ben Aaronovitch. I bring all of these interviews uncut for this week's podcast. I've no idea if I'll make it along to any more of these BFI events but the two I've been able to attend have been excellent value for money.

You can see all my photos of the event here http://www.flickr.com/photos/tdrury/sets/72157634820032006/

and there are several videos of the event on my you tube including this one of the main panel in which you can see Silv explaining how he got the part of the Doctor http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bx6WSFsvmrU

A bit more Gallifrey One coverage this week with the Freema Agyeman panel, this was her first North American convention and she really seemed to enjoy herself despite a busy schedule meaning she was on a flight back to the East Coast before the weekend was over. Keep listening after Freema for a couple of exciting bonus items this week.

Last Saturday myself and Adam J Purcell of the Staggering Stories podcast joined the queue for £5 arena tickets for the 50th Anniversary Doctor Who Prom. We were in for a long wait of over eight hours but were treated to an evening of fun, thrills and surprises. Excellent music from Murray Gold throughout with a treat in the seciond half from a couple of members of the sadly now defunct BBC Radio Phonic Workshop.

This fact didn't make the finished podcast but if you browse through the official photos posted by the BBC I'm in two of them see if you can spot me. http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/galleries/p01csgjl

There's serveral videos of the event on my you tube such as Peter Davison http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tN12_xpcqks and Vastra and Strax who entertained us thoughout the show http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tO9QaDLBTgM
