A private life is a happy life. Seriously. The older we get, the more we are able to appreciate the value of privacy, without the associated guilt we used to feel about implementing it. A private life is a happy life because as the respect that you have for your own privacy increases, the drama, bad luck, bullsh*t, and insecurity in your life instantly decreases.
Damn, this year has been a while ride, pretty sure a lot of us are happy to see it go, let's have an honest and upfront conversation regarding the good, the bad, and the ugly of 2020.
Ah yes! If you are familiar with us in our personal lives the horizontal office is terminology you may have come across. Something we practice quite often, it’s quite funny actually and this should result in the wholesome and hilarious content that you come to us for. We’re about to delve into the idea of the horizontal office.
Ahhh yes this is one we can all relate to. All in “love” and mushy eyed and taking pics for the gram and what not and boom fast forward a couple months and we don’t want to be associated with that person. Sometimes we have to go through a few bad ones to find the one.
Several of our friends are undergoing personal crises right now. Some are seeing long-term relationships come to an end. Another friend is about to get evicted and one of the other homies is stuck and can't get home for Christmas because of all this craziness. How do you save people? It's hard to know how to counsel friends when they are in the midst of a crisis. Sometimes we're afraid to reach out to friends in acute crises because we think that they'll be embarrassed or ashamed. As people that have been on the receiving end of some amazing help and with everything going on, this is such a necessary conversation.
Drinkcember is the season to drink, eat, party, be merry, let your hair down, dance like you just don’t care…you get the gist. For so many people in our audience, they get to travel home and see some old familiar faces and it is an incredible time to reconnect and bond with our close family and friends. Obviously, this year is quite different, and depending on where you live, you might not be able to travel. This is our second Drinkcember as the Tings and Things fam and definitely a weird one.
We are so blessed to be in this position. Thank you to everyone that has tuned into Tings and Things over the last two years. We appreciate all the love and support over the last year. Thank you for letting us into your world and thank you for being part of ours over the last 100 episodes. We’ll catch you at the next 100.
The manual? Have you found it? We certainly haven’t, in this newest episode of the Tings and Things Podcast we are discussing communication. How do you communicate, setting boundaries and so much more? Hopefully, you get a few good laughs out of this.
We’ve talked about getting contracts and securing jobs but there is a flip side to that too. Telling someone that you won’t be able to work with them doesn’t start with the words you say to the potential client. It starts with the conversation that you have with yourself.
