This week the ladies discuss the chonker that is Part 2 of A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder. We learn that Tia loves curry and Chandler has a confession. This episode includes a study into an unhinged Pip, debunking all of our theories, and a floorboard filled with cobwebs and tumbleweeds.
A spooky welcome to the first episode of A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder by Holly Jackson, Part 1 of the book. Tia and Chandler define-ite-ly don’t have any technology problems this time, but they do teach each other how to spell words like Connecticut. Join as they put on their detective hats to solve the disappearance of Andie Bell.
Welcome to fourth tangent episode! Chandler reads about how to not cough and Tia dishes out some debate inducing would-you-rathers. They cover their current reads; The Burning Girls by CJ Tudor, Thanks For Waiting - The Joy and Weirdness of Being a Late Bloomer by Doree Shafrir, and None Shall Sleep by Ellie Marney. They also introduce the first ever Boyfriend Question Corner, and reveal the next book heading into spooky season.
The ladies have weathered Covid, other sickness, travel, and the loss of an episode. Tia and Chandler are back in the shed and ready to share the last episode on One Last Stop, chapters 10-17. Tia got too big for her britches and Chandler is a menace to note takers everywhere. Enjoy as they wrap up the book and give their final (and vastly different) ratings.
Join Tia and Chandler in the second installment of One Last Stop, chapters 6-9. Tia desperately needs to know if August is taking her school exams, and Chandler compares the book to a splate of paghetti. Even though Tia basically solves every mystery forever, they would love it if joined for the good times and sub par audio.
Tia and Chandler dive into Tia’s pick, One Last Stop by Casey McQuiston, chapters 1-5. Listen as they discuss the magic that is Pancake Billy’s and Subway Girl. Tia introduces us to spider bread and Chandler reveals that a psychic handshake is from face to shoulder.
In this week's tangent we discover that Tia is a walking contradiction and Chandler is 90% M&M’s. They cover their current reads; The Wicked King by Holly Black, Return to Nature by Emma Loewe, and Glow by Raven Kennedy. They also apologize to their Australian listener, discuss butterfly burps and caterpillars pretending to be moo-staches, and reveal the next book for the pod!
Tia and Chandler welcome you to Tiny Shed Book Club where they discuss heat waves and the end of When Women Were Dragons. They delve into generational trauma, suppression caused by religion and cultural norms, and women's power and pain. Listen to them get a few more names wrong and wrap up this wonderful book.
Join Tia and Chandler for chapters 18-28 of When Women Were Dragons. The gals confirm that they too are dragons, as they like both chore charts and book clubs. Tia is on a roll, dishing out theory after theory. And be on the lookout, Chandler might moon ya.
Tia and Chandler begin their new book, When Women Were Dragons by Kelly Barnhill, chapters 1-17. They explore shame, fear, anger, suppression, and the femininity of dragoning. Chandler flips the bird to the patriarchy and prefers getting dirty and weird in the garden. Tia aptly describes this book as a decadent piece of cake that is rich, colorful, and something you take the time to savor.
