  • Daddy

    http://lnk.to/unelovesong
What if you would receive a love letter written in French and English, with delicate and soulful vocals flying over harp, synth and electric sounds ? A song with a synthetic pop sauce and melodic arrangements, where the musical richness is matched only by the sweetness of the female vocal interpretation with melancholic flavors.
The lightness is on the menu on this piece at the same time calmly involving and subtly calming. If you are not a love song aficionado, this song will make you doubt yourself...
"Une Love song" is a song that is light on its feet, a proper outdoor restaurant in peak summer evening mode. Eyes gazing across the linen covered tables just get a little more tender because Tiphanie is providing the soundtrack. The drum machine acts as a lovely contrast to vocals that are sweet and human and with all the inbuilt frailties of life built in as part of the deal. It means we get the focus of someone speaking to us with the doors of her heart flung open to the world. And in the process we hear plenty of ourselves into the bargain.

    Lyrics
Joe le taxi, il va pas partout
    Il marche pas au soda
    Son saxo jaune
Connaît toutes les rues par cœur
    Tous les petits bars
    Tous les coins noirs
    Et la Seine
    Et ses ponts qui brillent
    Dans sa caisse
    La musique à Joe
    C'est la rumba
    Le vieux rock au mambo
    Joe le taxi
    C'est sa vie
    Le rhum au mambo
    Embouteillage
    Il est comme ça
    Rhum et mambo
    Joe, Joe, Joe
    Dans sa caisse
    La musique à Joe résonne
    C'est la rumba
Le vieux rock au mambo bidon
    Vas-y Joe
    Vas-y Joe
    Vas-y fonce
    Dans la nuit vers l'Amazone
    Joe le taxi
    Et Xavier Cugat
    Joe le taxi
    Et Yma Sumac
    Joe, Joe, Joe
    Joe le taxi
    C'est sa vie
    Le rhum au mambo
    Embouteillage
    Joe le taxi
    Et les Mariachis
    Joe le taxi
    Et le cha-cha-chi
    Joe le taxi
    Et le cha-cha-chi
    Vas-y Joe
    Vas-y fonce
    Dans la nuit vers l'Amazone

  • It Ain't Over 'Til It's Over
An unrecognizable cover of this great hit of Lenny Kravitz revisited with a lot of sweetness. The feminine vocal interpretation with a hushed tone is supported by intimate arrangements with fine acoustic sounds. The subtle synthetic embellishments give a lot of depth to this track full of sensitivity.

  • L'Amoureuse
Globe trotting French songbird and multi-instrumentalist Tiphanie Doucet reveals her ethereal new EP and single each titled, ‘Painted Blue’.
After dropping the EP’s first single ‘You & I’, a number of weeks ago, the track has already amassed over 20,000 listens on Spotify, 8,000 views on YouTube and gained exposure with the likes of Rollingstone France, Pop Matters and She Makes Music. The artist is now ready to release ‘Painted Blue’, produced and co-written by Simone Felice and David Baron, famous for their work with The Luminners, Bat for Lashes and Diana Demuth.
Tiphanie’s ethereal and seductive vocals shine through in the single ‘Painted Blue’. A simple piano ballad in which heartbreak is clearly evident in not only the lyrical content but the delivery. The accompanying music video provides a visual expression of the evocative and sorrowful single, showcasing her exquisite dancing skills.
The ‘Painted Blue’ EP defines the evolution of Tiphanie Doucet’s sound from a more traditional acoustic soundscape to a hauntingly atmospheric electronically influenced lullaby. Filled with somber beauty, the ‘Painted Blue’ EP is a hauntingly intimate window into the soul of Tiphanie Doucet. Writing from a place of inner turmoil, of pain, longing and loss, the music itself sits in contrast with the shadows cast by the personal lyrical content: “I am painting a landscape of songs that will describe how ripped, disconsolate, and destroyed my soul is after a man with a blue eye left me for “somebody new” with whom he is ‘Lying on (his blue) couch’”

    Painted Blue
Who sleeps now in that room ?
    I’ve been told you moved
    I was such a fool
When I run in the cold
    The blue of your eyes
    Fades away
    Who am I
    To still think of you?
    You’re lying on your couch
    with somebody new
    Painted blue..
    Did you ever wonder
    I still feel your fingers
    And my skin melt together
Why let me in again ,
    I know you feel ashamed
Did you love me then ?
Who am to still think of you?
    You’re living in this lie
    with somebody new
    Painted Blue....
    I’m Painted blue
    Who am I
    To still think of you?
    You’re lying on your couch
    with somebody new
    Who am I
    To still think of you?
    I’m Painted blue
    Who am I
    To still think of you?
    You’re lying on your couch
    with somebody new
