The ladies are joined today by Melvin Booker former NBA player, father of Devin Booker of the Pheonix Suns and CAA Agent. Born and raised in small town Mississippi with a strong blue collar work ethic, Melvin’s father gave him a basketball and told him it would show him the world. Never one to give up on his dreams, this proved true when he went undrafted and still stayed the course. An episode that reflects on the importance of manifestation and believing there is a light at the end of the tunnel, even when you cannot see it.

Raven is the second person in her family to graduate from college and set out to be an optometrist at 17. Once she arrived at Auburn she became curious about everything that encompasses high level sports from how fans get into the building to the overall experience. So she deferred graduate school and started selling tickets for $7.25 for the Florida Panthers and that was her start into sports.

Whether it was the NHL, MLB, NFL, or NBA she was determined to learn and drive business. Every league presented different challenges but it taught her the skills that have put her in the position she's in today. 

Becoming a leader, she describes herself as empathetic and someone who leads by example based on all the experiences she's had. She's a NBA Champion, it's surreal to her and she still gets chills thinking about it today. As someone who loves the grind she makes a point of being present in all aspects of her life. 

Raven talks about love - what's important in any relationship, it starts with communication, vulnerability, and having fun.

Shea is back hot off OTE opening weekend and just in time to welcome Tyneeha's son, Western Conference Champion with the Phoenix Suns, Mikal Bridges. More than an insight into his basketball journey, Mikal reflects with the ladies on the behind-the-scenes story of how he grew up and what situations off the court shaped him into the player he is today.

Mikal discusses how he mentally prepared to play ball at Villanova, only to be red shirted, and how that year formed him. The laughs, the tears, those who inspired him through grace, and those who motivated him through struggle; We hear about his championship seasons at Villanova, the blessing that was being traded to the Suns on Draft Night, having a career high game during the NBA Finals and the feeling that came with signing a 4-year $90 million rookie extension.

This episode is full of basketball, no doubt, but more importantly it is a testament to a mother’s love, to the power of positivity and to the meaning of a balanced and fulfilled life.
