A Silent World's mission is to empower the Deaf and Hard of Hearing in all aspects of life as defined in the America’s Disability Act and Rehab Act of 1973 to maintain and to live independent and self-empowered lives in their communities.   Our organization is a leader in the communities that it serves and provides assistance to children and adults of the Deaf Culture since 1988. 

We give the Deaf and Hard of Hearing an opportunity to maximize their individual potential in a caring, safe and unique learning environment which they can strive to enhance their literacy, employment and independence. We utilize all available talents, energy and resources to provide a variety of free services that are appropriate for community education in our surrounding counties.   

We will continually assist and provide the youth of the community with resources, peer counseling, advocacy, job placement and more to achieve a lifestyle of independence and freedom. Support Deaf and Support ASL.

Rochelle Davis-Cox is the CEO of Davis & Cox Consulting Agency, BOBSource directory, and the founder of the largest group on Facebook representing Broward County Black Owned Businesses. 

Born and raised in Broward County, Rochelle always set out to be the change she wanted to see. Serving as a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., she returned to her hometown to do just that by advocating for Black Owned Businesses, the community, and the students at her Alma Mater - Boyd H Anderson High School where she currently serves as the Alumni President.

Since establishing the Broward County Black Owned Business platform in 2016, she has connected thousands of Black Owned Businesses with tons of customers. When we think of the entire #BuyBlack movement, Rochelle was determined not the let the energy fade out because it was trending! She stayed firm and remained at the forefront. 

You can find her helping Black Owned Businesses not only in Broward County but she also helps surrounding counties. The goals is for those businesses to gain exposure and obtain the resources they deserve.

Rochelle is being recognized for her contributions and hard work that go into creating a safe space for Broward County Black Business Owners. She is a nominee for the Tribe of Sunflowers Community Award and will be honored at the Safer Spaces Celebration.

She saw that her boys were boisterous, self-driven, and extremely competitive. They struggled to fit into the schooling system, they were labelled as too competitive and too active. She was told her boys would need "support"            to tone down these traits.  She refused to allow the educational system to label her boys! Be was determined to meet their needs and develop their personalities into leadership qualities.
