 Comcast has announced their additional investment of over $15 million to the existing $10 million investment in Philadelphia Pennsylvania, and communities in New Jersey to further support gigabit ethernet for business. Residential and small businesses will now see 1 GBps service available, and larger enterprises up to 100 GBps. 

The FCC announced last week that $164 million will be made available for broadband build-out in underserved areas. This comes on the heels of a July letter asking 197 winning providers to "double-check" and confirm the facts in their bids. As a result, many have withdrawn leaving funding for those remaining 42 providers.

So when a single company screws up so badly that it denies the use of Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp,
