NaNoWriMo stands for national novel writing month. It was started as an intuitive to help writers for from zero to 50,000 words in the course of a single month. This project has been so successful that it is now a global initiative with people from countries all over the world participating.

About The Hosts

Sheena comes from a media background and in 2014 she started The Lesbian Review, a website dedicated to reviewing the best lesbian books and movies. In 2016 A podcast channel seemed like a natural progression and so she started The Lesbian Talkshow.

Sheena discovered lesbian fiction in her late teens and it helped her with her coming out process, something for which she will always be grateful.

Tamara is a marketing professional and has branched out into design and photography. Her natural love for research and learning meant that she was the perfect podcast partner when Sheena wanted to start Les Talk About It. (Well, that and the fact that Tamara is married to Sheena.)

Jove shares some news from the homefront and Andi and Jove have a hard time with this podcast because of terrible, tragic events and many of the Women and Words contributors are also struggling with these terrible, tragic events, but dammit, those of you who create, keep creating. And to all of you, keep telling your stories, keep talking to each other, and share some love with others.
