Podcast #59: First thing on today's podcast I try to make a poorly articulated point about the importance and emotional weight of rituals in human life: things like weddings, funerals, birthdays, etc. Next we talk about our movie of choice this week: Samurai X, an animated movie from my childhood. We then quickly spiral off topic and discuss Castlevania, Lucifer getting a 6th season, and the rumored new Dr. Who. Finally in Segment #3 we toss out our plan and decide to complain and laugh at one of the most ridiculous tools we've ever seen: The Wheel of Power and Privilege!

Segment #1 had us gyrating quickly between games we liked and games and mechanics we deeply disliked, then segment #2 we discuss the movie Yesterday which we both had a bit of a love/hate relationship with, and finally in segment #3 we start our discussion of the book Morning Star, the third book in the Red Rising Trilogy!

We start off strong with a very amusing report that came out of the EU government about memes of all things...then we move on to Final Fantasy XIV, the first Halo Infinite beta weekend, and more Dr. Who rants. Finally we revisit a segment we tried once with a few tweaks where Blue gives me an alternate history scenario and we try to work out how it would affect the modern day and where we'd be in said world.

In this episode we talk about netflix's painful attempt at reboot Masters of the Universe (He-Man) and the trend of WoW players moving towards Final Fantasy XIV. Then in Segment #2 we discuss Pulp Fiction, a movie we'd been threatening to watch for some time now, and finally in segment #3 we go through our podcast playlist and have a bit of nostalgia over the last year of making the TMCJ Podcast!
