To Have and To Horror

For our final episode and our Halloween Spooktacular we watch a movie so nice they made it thrice. This week we watched Halloween(1978), Halloween(2007), and Halloween(2018).

Come little children, I’ll take thee away…..that’s right, this week we went a bit rogue and watched Hocus Pocus, and boy did it hold up. This movie is still great!

This week we watched the remake / sequel (requel?) Candyman(2021), a horror classic that Cassy and Gerad know nothing about.

This week we watch Netflix‘s zombie heist movie Army of the Dead and we make a big announcement.

Turns out its not just Canadian Geese we have to fear. This week we watched Hitchcock’s The Birds (1963) and it gave us a real craving for more vintage horror.

This week we sink our teeth into the charming horror/comedy zombie romp (zombedy?) Little Monsters.

This week we watched The Blackcoat’s Daughter. A spooky, desolate all girl’s catholic school. A frigid Canadian winter. Nuns insisting the snow be “shoveled to the earth,” for some reason known only to them and God.

We witness a wonderful coming-of-age story as an awkward girl transforms into a beautiful young wolf-woman before our very eyes. This week we watched the cringe-inducing Canadian horror classic, Ginger Snaps (2000).

Dun Dun. Dun Dun. Dun Dun Dun Dun Dun Dun Bahn na NAAAAHHHHHH.

This week we watched Jaws, the movie largely attributed to the amateur shark massacre of the ‘70’s and ‘80’s. As well as the film that made several generations even more terrified of going into the water. Not that it has stopped us.

This week we watch Sweetheart(2019), a reimagining of Castaway where Wilson is replaced by clumsy metaphors and a fish-man.
