This week we delve into the Purge universe! We learn (again) that Gerad can't tell the difference between Ethan Hawke and Josh Hartnett, Cassy plans an Old Timey Heist, and we realize we are much too tame to ever participate in a Purge Night. Gerad gets poetic at some point, and definitely does not mix up his metaphors. Buckle up people, we're in for a treat.

This week we watch the British take on Insidious, FirstBorn. Gerad talks about his upcoming and then recently finished sojourn, we discover a trailer can be scarier than the movie, and Cassy delves into her traumatic history of porcelain doll ownership.FYI: the person that writes subtitles is called a captionist.

This week we watch Life (2017). A pale murderous flubber takes over a space station while astronauts fight to save their lives-and Earth. Ryan Reynolds plays a dangerous game of space baseball and Jake Gyllenhaal has a mild obsession with face stroking. Gerad would like everyone to know that it is extremely difficult to drown in space, despite what this movie portrays, and Cassy reveals her former ambitions to work for NASA. We hope you enjoy it as much as we did!

You'll have to find the clues and solve our puzzle if you want to make it out of this episode. This week Cassy and Gerad watch Escape Room(2019). We discuss Cassy's hatred for escaping rooms and Gerad WILL NOT shut up about the not-so-secret puzzle maker. Seriously, he's still talking about it. A family of Satan worshippers intent on maintaining their wealth gained from a board game empire (?) intend to sacrifice an unknowing bride on her wedding night in a deadly game of hide and seek. Believe it or not, that sentence reveals less than the movie trailer. Cassy rips on Adam Brody, Gerad reminisces about peak '90's Canadian Teen T.V. and Ziggy gives us both a heart attack. Ready or Not-here we come!

Hopefully you've brushed up on your late 2000's meme mythology. This week we're delving into Slender Man (2018). Cassy wants to take you on a tour of this lovely historic graveyard, Slenderman has a fierce runway walk, and Cassy fails to convince Gerad of the dangers of haunted video tapes. Pro tip: If for some reason you can't look at the face of a 7 foot tall monster, stop looking up. You might be crazy for Slenderman's platform shoes, but they won't drive you crazy.

Welcome to episode 13 where the Colley-Couses' spend some time in Sunnydale-er, Bailey Downs-a town where Christmas horrors abound. We watch an alcohol fueled DJ jockey, disappointing zombie elves, an albino Krampus, teenage ghosts, and a good old fashioned changeling learn the reason for the season. What is happening, you say? We don't know and you won't either. Merry Happy and remember kids-dress warmly or the Icelandic cat will getcha.

For better or worse is taken to the extreme this week, as we watch What Keeps You Alive(2018). Cassy assures Gerad (with troubling certainty) that he WON'T die in the woods, Gerad does some script punch up, and we speculate that if you become a murderer shortly after seeing a traumatic death it is likely they are related. Come on Jackie, practice some mindfulness!

Oh great, demons with a puppet fetish. This week Cassandra chooses Insidious (2010) for the Colley-Couses to watch. They discover Patrick Wilson is a charming but lazy hero, Rose Byrne does all the work and receives none of the credit, and once again Cassandra confirms that she would 100% burn the house down if she ever suspects demons are messing around with her hypothetical children. Someone hide the matches.

The episode is rolling into the station when we watch Train to Busan. Cassy and Gerad prepare for the apocalypse in their own ways, Gerad discovers a new role model in this dad who punches, and we all learn not to let Cassy on your zombie survival team. You can tell we liked this one cause we talked about it for a long time.And yes, that is a purring cat around 1:28:30.
