In honour of horrors most sacred day this episode is coming to you a bit early. We check a big one off our horror movie bucket list when we watch The Exorcist. Professor Cassy drops some creepy behind-the-scenes stories on us, Gerad proposes alternate titles, and the consensus is William Friedkin is a terrible boss.Content Warning for this one, I repeat one of the more shocking quotes from the movie without warning. This week, we raise the stakes on a childhood classic, as we watch Truth or Dare. Gerad is so very energized, the dogs chime in with their hot takes on people in the hallway, and Cassy applauds demons for their pageantry.

Today we dive into the 2018 remake of Suspiria. Witches! Dance! Magic! Ritual Murder! In this episode Gerad marvels at the flawless chameleon known as Tilda Swinton, and Cassy discovers her favourite aesthetic: Germany, 1977.

This week we watch Midsommar. Professor Cassy teaches Gerad about Swedish midsummer festivals , we are unimpressed by the lack of traditional Swedish happy frogs, and we learn about the transformative power of communal breathing exercises. This week we watch the horror anthology XX. We talk about the new pup joining our family (spoilers: she goes by Ziggy now), Gerad doesn’t know how to vamp, and train porn is somehow not the worst thing Cassy talks about.

This week we watch (and learn to pronounce) Ouija. We discuss the 3 rules of Ouija Club and a slip of the tongue creates Gerad's new obsession, The Pizza Creep. Sorry for the excessive plugs but Cassy has to be taught a lesson for all her pre-release hubris. Time travel is neat, huh?

This week The Breakfast Club meets Scooby Doo when we watch Deadly Detention. Listen to us fall in love with these classic high school archetypes; the athlete, the narcissist,the one with bedazzled bible, the skateboarder, and the one that says gross things to upset me.

This week we watch a biopic about Lizzie Borden. Can a biopic be a horror movie? No, not really...
