Is the institution of marriage dead in today's society? We're going to talk about it. In todays society it seems that the institution of marriage becoming less and less important. Divorce is at all time high, something like one out of two marriages fail. Mothers and fathers use to be the expected family structure. When I was in grade school about 80% of the kids in my school had a father that lived in the home and married to their mother. In 2016 husbands and fathers have been replace on a large scale by "baby daddies". Celebrity marriages, which I personally don't believe in, seem to fail at a bigger rate.
